ময়মনসিংহের নান্দাইলে সাবেক মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কমান্ডার হাজী গাজী আব্দুস সালাম ভুইয়া বীর প্রতীক বুধবার বিকালে ঢাকাস্থ সিএমএইচএস হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মৃত্যুবরন করেন। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন। মৃত্যুকালে তিনি স্ত্রী, এক পুত্র ও এক কন্যা সন্তানসহ অসংখ্য গুনগ্রাহী রেখে গেছেন।
বীরমুক্তিযোদ্ধা আব্দুস সালাম ভূইয়া পাকনেভীর সাবেক বিপ্লবী সদস্য এবং মুক্তিযুদ্ধকালীন ১১নং সেক্টরের কোম্পানী কমান্ডার ছিলেন।
আজ বৃহস্পতিবার যোহর নামাজবাদ ২.৩০ মিনিট চন্ডিপাশা সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় মাঠে রাষ্ট্রীয় মর্যাদা ও জানাযা’র নামাজ শেষে পৌরসদর চারিআনি পাড়া নিজ পারিবারিক কবরস্থানে তাঁর লাশ দাফন করা হবে। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে প্রেসক্লাব নান্দাইল ও নান্দাইলের সর্বস্তরের জনগণ গভীর শোক ও সমবেদনা জ্ঞাপন করেছেন।
