ভারতের নাগাল্যান্ডে সেনাবাহিনীর গুলিতে এক ডজন গ্রামবাসী নিহত

ভারতের নাগাল্যান্ড রাজ্যে জঙ্গি মনে করে এক ডজনের বেশি গ্রামবাসীকে গুলি করে হত্যা করেছে সেনাবাহিনী।
প্রেস ট্রাস্ট অব ইন্ডিয়া (পিটিআই) এই সংখ্যা ১১ জন বলে জানালেও, বার্তা সংস্থা এএফপি জানাচ্ছে, ১৩ জন বেসামরিক ব্যক্তি নিহত হয়েছে।
সেনাবাহিনী জানিয়েছে, ওই ঘটনায় আহত হয়ে তাদের একজন সৈনিক মারা গেছে।
এএফপি জানিয়েছে, একটি অ্যামবুশ অভিযান চালানোর সময় প্রথমে একটি ট্রাকে গুলি করে ছয় জনকে হত্যা করে সেনাবাহিনী। সেই হত্যাকাণ্ডের প্রতিবাদে যারা জড়ো হয়েছিলেন, পরবর্তীতে সেই ভিড়ের ওপরেও গুলি করা হয়।
মিয়ানমার সীমান্তের কাছের এই রাজ্যের মন জেলায় যখন শ্রমিকরা দিনের কাজ শেষ করে বাড়ি ফিরছিল, তখনি সৈন্যদের গুলিতে ছয় জন নিহত হয়। ওই এলাকায় কর্মকাণ্ড রয়েছে, এমন জঙ্গিদের ধরতে অতর্কিতে হামলা চালিয়েছিল সেনা সদস্যরা।
পরিবারের সদস্যরা বাড়ি না ফেরায় পরবর্তীতে স্বজন এবং গ্রামবাসীরা নিখোঁজদের খুঁজতে এসে নিহতদের শনাক্ত করে। এরপর তারা সেনাবাহিনীর সদস্যদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে এর কারণ জানতে চায়।
নাগাল্যান্ড পুলিশের একজন কর্মকর্তা সন্দীপ এম. তামগে এএফপিকে বলেছেন, ”তখন দুই পক্ষের মধ্যে সংঘর্ষের সৃষ্টি হয় এবং নিরাপত্তা কর্মীরা তাদের ওপর গুলি করে। সেই সময় আরও সাত জন নিহত হয়।”
এএফপি জানিয়েছে, দ্বিতীয় দফার গুলিবর্ষণে আরও নয় জন বেসামরিক ব্যক্তি আহত হয়েছেন, যাদের হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
মি. তামগে জানিয়েছেন, ওই এলাকার পরিস্থিতি এই মুহূর্তে ‘খুবই উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ’।
ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনী একটি বিবৃতিতে জানিয়েছে, ওই ঘটনায় একজন সৈনিক নিহত হয়েছে এবং আরও কয়েকজন আহত হয়েছে।
সেখানে বলা হয়েছে, ‘বিশ্বাসযোগ্য তথ্যের’ ভিত্তিতে নাগাল্যান্ডের মোন জেলার তিরু এলাকায় একটি অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হয়েছিল। কিন্তু পরবর্তীতে হতাহতের যেসব ঘটনা ঘটেছে, সেটি সর্বোচ্চ পর্যায় থেকে তদন্ত করা হচ্ছে।
ওই ঘটনায় তারা “গভীর দুঃখ প্রকাশ” করেছে বলে বিবৃতিতে উল্লেখ করেছে।
এই ঘটনার পর নাগাল্যান্ডের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নেইফু রিও সবাইকে শান্ত থাকার আহ্বান জানিয়ে তদন্ত করার ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন।
নাগাল্যান্ডের রাজধানী কোহিমা থেকে ৩৫০ কিলোমিটার দূরে মোন জেলাটি অবস্থিত।
ভারতের অন্যান্য রাজ্য থেকে নাগাল্যান্ড এবং অন্য উত্তর-পূর্বের রাজ্যগুলো সরু একটি করিডোর দিয়ে সংযুক্ত। বহু বছর ধরে এসব এলাকায় বিচ্ছিন্নতাবাদী এবং জাতিগত গোষ্ঠীগুলোর আন্দোলনের কারণে অস্থিরতা চলছে।
এই এলাকায় অসংখ্য ছোট ছোট জাতিগত এবং ছোট গেরিলা বাহিনী রয়েছে। আরও বেশি স্বায়ত্তশাসন থেকে শুরু করে তাদের ভারত থেকে আলাদা হওয়ার দাবি রয়েছে।
