অষ্টমী স্নান উপলক্ষ্যে পটকা ও আতশবাজীসহ বিস্ফোরক দ্রব্য ব্যবহার নিষিদ্ধ- জেলা প্রশাসন

হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বীদের অষ্টমী স্নান উপলক্ষ্যে পটকা ফোটানো, বাজী পুড়ানো, আতশবাজীসহ সকল প্রকার বিস্ফোরক দ্রব্য তৈরি ও ক্রয় বিক্রয় নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষণা করেছে জেলা প্রশাসন। অষ্টমি তিথিতে হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বীদের পুণ্যস্নান ২০২৪ উদযাপন উপলক্ষ্যে জেলা প্রশাসনের প্রস্তুতিমূলক সভায় এ সিন্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয়। আগামী ১৬ এপ্রিল ময়মনসিংহ শহরের বেগুনবাড়ী ঘাট, জেলখানাঘাট, বালুরঘাট, ইসকন মন্দির সংলগ্ন ঘাট, কাচারিঘাট ও থানাঘাট এলাকায় পুণ্যার্থীদের এ স্নান শুরু হবে। অষ্টমী স্নান উপলক্ষ্যে কাচারিঘাটে ঐতিহ্যবাহী খেলনার মেলা বসবে।

এ উৎসবকে কেন্দ্রে করে ময়মনসিংহ ও এর আশপাশের বিভিন্ন জেলা থেকে হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বী পুণ্যার্থীরা ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের পাড়ে আসেন। স্নান উপলক্ষে ব্রহ্মপুত্র তীরের সব প্রস্তুতি সম্পন্ন করেছে জেলা প্রশাসন ও স্নান উৎসব কমিটি। মঙ্গলবার দিনব্যাপী স্নানোৎসব চলবে বলে আয়োজকদের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে।

দেশের আবহমান ঐতিহ্যের ধারাবাহিকতায় সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি বজায় রেখে ময়মনসিংহ জেলায় আসন্ন অষ্টমী তিথিতে ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদী হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বীদের পুণ্যস্নান ২০২৪ সৌহার্দ্যপূর্ণ পরিবেশে সুষ্ঠু ও সুন্দরভাবে আয়োজন করা হবে।

সাধারণ, গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও অতিগুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিবেচনায় অষ্টমী স্নানের সকল ঘাটের নদীর দুই পাশে প্রয়োজনীয় সংখ্যক পুলিশ ও র‌্যাব মোতায়েনের সিদ্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয়। মহিলা পুণ্যার্থীদের জন্য বিশেষ স্নানঘাট নির্মাণ করা হবে। স্নানঘাটে প্রয়োজনীয় সংখ্যাক মহিলা পুলিশ এবং স্বেচ্ছাসেবী মহিলা নিয়োগ দেওয়ার বিষয় সিদ্ধান্ত হয়। সন্ধ্যা ও রাতে নারী ও শিশুসহ সকলের নিরাপদনির্বিগ্ন চলাচল নিশ্চিত করার জন্য পর্যাপ্ত সংখ্যাক টহল পুলিশ মোতায়েন করা হবে। আইন-শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষায় সহযোগিতা এবং পবিত্রতা রক্ষার্থে সংশ্লিষ্ট হিন্দু ধর্মীয় সংগঠন ও আয়োজকবৃন্দ ব্যাজসহ নিজস্ব স্বেচ্ছাসেবক নিয়োগ প্রদানের প্রয়োজনীয় উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে।

এছাড়া রাজনৈতিক নেতৃবৃন্দ, সাংবাদিক, স্থানীয় পর্যায়ে পৌরসভার মেয়র/ ইউপি চেয়ারম্যানের নেতৃত্বে ওয়ার্ড কাউন্সিলরগন/ইউপি সদস্যগণ সংশ্লিষ্ট সকল হিন্দু ধর্মীয় সংগঠন প্রধান এবং স্বেচ্ছাসেবী টিম সার্বিক আইন শৃঙ্খলা পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক রাখতে একযোগে কাজ করবে।

স্নান উপলক্ষে ব্রহ্মপুত্রের তীরে কয়েক কিলোমিটার এলাকাজুড়ে পুণ্যার্থীরা ঘুরে বেড়ান। ব্রহ্মপুত্রের রমনা ঘাটের উত্তর দিক থেকে শুরু করে রাজারভিটা হয়ে রুকুনুদৌলা সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় পর্যন্ত অষ্টমীর স্নান ঘাট হিসেবে নির্ধারণ করেছে স্থানীয় প্রশাসন। অষ্টমীর স্নান উপলক্ষে ঘাট এলাকায় দিনব্যাপী মেলার আয়োজন থাকবে। স্নানঘাট ইজারা গ্রহণকারীকে মেলাস্থলে শামিয়ানার ব্যবস্থা করতে বলা হয়েছে।

স্নানোৎসব নির্বিঘ্ন করতে পর্যাপ্ত প্রস্তুতি নিয়েছে জেলা প্রশাসন। পাশাপাশি স্নান ও মেলা উপলক্ষে নিরাপত্তাব্যবস্থা জোরদার করা হয়েছে। দূরদূরান্ত থেকে আসা পুণ্যার্থীদের নিরাপত্তার জন্য পুলিশ, আনসার সদস্য ছাড়াও অনেক স্বেচ্ছাসেবী দায়িত্ব পালন করবেন। প্রতিবছর চৈত্র মাসের শুক্লপক্ষের অষ্টমী তিথিতে হিন্দু ধর্মাবলম্বীরা পাপমোচনের আশায় ময়মনসিংহের ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদে স্নান করতে আসেন।
